For parents by parents

SVK was started by parents who spent some time researching ways to keep their toddlers busy. We needed them to go to preschool (so we could work). We want them to go to gymnastics (to stay active and learn). We want them to have play dates and socialize. We want them to have experiences as kids.

We moved here in 2021 and didn't know many resources to get info on kids activities. It wasn't until we met people at the kids' schools when we start to hear about different opportunities.

Recently text chains went out about what people are doing with their kids for spring break and how we are coordinating summer camp schedules.

That's when the idea came to have a resource and social media site to highlight and feature businesses catering to kids in our area.

We want this to be a team effort by parents in this community, to share ideas and tips. We also want this to be a marketplace for local businesses with simple, inexpensive marketing plans.
